Our programs are designed to empower individuals and communities with the knowledge and tools to take control of their reproductive health. We focus on youth, women, and marginalized populations through targeted education and advocacy.

Menstrual Hygiene Education

This flagship campaign addresses the widespread stigma, misinformation, and lack of access surrounding menstruation among adolescent girls. Many girls in Ghana miss school or feel ashamed during their periods due to poor menstrual education and limited resources. “Beyond the Flow” is changing that.

What We Do:

• Facilitate menstrual hygiene workshops in schools.
• Educate girls about their menstrual cycle, hygiene practices, and how to manage periods safely.
• Distribute high-quality, reusable and disposable sanitary pads.
• Break taboos by encouraging open conversations among students, parents, and teachers.
• Use creative tools like storytelling, quizzes, and peer discussions to engage young minds.

Why It Matters:

Menstrual health is public health. Poor menstrual hygiene leads to infections, school absenteeism, and psychological stress.

Family Planning and Contraception

This program empowers individuals especially women of reproductive age with the information and support they need to make informed decisions about family planning. We promote access to contraceptive options and challenge myths that hinder reproductive autonomy.

What We Do:

• Organize community forums and workshops on contraception and reproductive planning.
• Partner with health professionals to provide accurate, accessible family planning information.
• Connect women to healthcare providers and resources.
• Educate both men and women on shared reproductive responsibility.
• Encourage safe, voluntary, and informed decision-making.

Family planning reduces unintended pregnancies, maternal mortality, and poverty.

Maternal Health Education

Focused on preventing maternal deaths and complications, this program ensures that women—especially first-time mothers—receive proper education and support during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.

What We Do:

• Provide antenatal and postnatal education through local clinics and community groups.
• Teach early warning signs of complications like preeclampsia, hemorrhage, and infection.
• Advocate for birth preparedness and skilled delivery services.
• Offer support groups and community dialogue for mothers and caregivers.
• Promote respectful maternity care and the importance of regular checkups.

STI Prevention and Treatment Awareness

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV, continue to affect many young people due to misinformation, stigma, and limited access to services. This program aims to raise awareness and encourage responsible behavior.

What We Do:

• Educate youth on the causes, symptoms, and prevention of STIs.
• Promote the use of protection and regular testing.
• Provide access to screening and treatment referrals through healthcare partners.
• Reduce stigma through peer-led discussions and community events.
• Dispel common myths about STIs, especially among adolescents.

Comprehensive Sexuality Education

We deliver age-appropriate, inclusive sexuality education that empowers young people to understand their bodies, make safe decisions, and respect others. Our sessions go beyond biology, they include emotional intelligence, consent, and self-worth.

What We Do:

• Deliver structured sexuality education programs in schools and youth centers.
